RED BULL STREET STYLE FINALS IN BEIRUT

Unique Football Skills

Beirut welcomed on Sunday, a unique sports event that thrilled football fans who gathered on Ain el Mreiseh Corniche to watch the “Red Bull Street Style” finals. This competition was a new challenge for football lovers in Lebanon as it granted junior and young players the opportunity to compete and promote their sporting skills. The qualifying rounds toured in Lebanese regions: Zahle, Ehden, and Horsh Beirut and witnessed a wide participation.
32 boys and girls participated in the “Red Bull Street Style” finals and the winner was Abdel Kader Amin who won over Hussein Sabra in the final game. The third position went to Ahmed Hamdan after a third position game against Mahdi Kobeisy. The thrilling and enthusiastic duals, where a special feminine presence was noted, lasted for around 3 hours and revealed high-level skills. A jury of renowned names in football, such as international referee Andre Haddad and international player Maestro Musa Hojeij who handed the competition cup to the winner, supervised the finals.
Participants of the “Red Bull Street Style” finals qualified as follows: 11 from Ehden qualifying round, 11 from Zahle, and 10 from Horsh Beirut. They competed in duals and tried to show their best maneuvers with the ball on the rhythms of DJ “Lethal Skills” while the jury, including musician Zayd Hamdan, evaluated them and determined the winners as to their control over the ball, creativity, and style.
