FREESTYLER WOW AIR RACE CROWD ON FINAL DAY IN CANADA

Breathtaking stunts in the air met silky skills on the ground in Windsor (CAN) on Sunday as some of the country’s best freestyle footballers put on a show for the 215,000 fans gathered at the latest stop of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

The freestyle footballers were preparing for the Canadian Red Bull Street Style National Qualifier where they will be hoping to bag a coveted ticket to the Red Bull Street Style World Finals 2010 in South Africa. Dozens of other countries across the globe have also been holding National Qualifiers in preparation for the World Finals 2010 after the enormous success of the 2008 event which saw French freestyler Arnaud “Séan” Garnier crowned world champion. The winner of the 2008 Canadian National Qualifier, Jose Pena, was blown away by having the chance show off his skills in front of such a huge crowd: “It’s just insane to be able to put on a show in front of so many people here. This has given us a great opportunity to bring our sport to a wider audience and make even more people in Canada aware of it.”
