FREESTYLER MURILO PITOL EXPERIENCES UNFORGETTABLE DAY WITH RED BULL X-FIGHTERS

Top freestyle footballer Murilo Pitol, third at the Red Bull Street Style World Final in 2008, had a once in a lifetime experience in London as the biggest FMX tour on the planet hit town on 22 August for the season finale of Red Bull X-Fighters 2009.

Cariacica-born Murilo was in the British capital and had unlimited access to all of the X-Fighters competitors gathered to crown the 2009 overall champion. Despite the Brazilian admitting that Australian Robbie Maddison was his favourite for the win, the crossed fingers weren’t quite enough as the world record holder for both the longest and highest jump ever on an FMX bike finished runner-up in the overall standings.

Victory went to America’s Nate Adams. The trip to the X-Fighters in London was Murilo´s prize for his third place at the Red Bull Street Style World Final in Sao Paulo’s "Complexo do Esportivo do Pacaembu" last November.
