Siyabonga Myeza

Papa (as he is known to his friends) says practice makes perfect. He has been training his little brother to compete and in doing so has qualified himself. Papa is in his first year at university and hopes that after he graduates, he can focus more on his freestyle skills.

Signature move: Anything creative.

Philani Gumede (Umlazi)

Another contestant from last years National Final, Philani ‘Massaru’ Gumede from Umlazi has been freestyling for 2 years now. He made it through to Johannesburg again this year and says he has more to show the judges at the final.

He calls his signature move Slow Poison.

Sibusiso Ndlovu (Pietermaritzburg)

Originally from Pietermaritzburg, now living in Jozi, Sibusiso or Doctor traveled to Durban to compete in the regional qualifier. He is no stranger to the contest as he made the top 16 last year. He has clearly been practicing since then and it paid off.
