Last year Croatia saw the Red Bull Street Style competition kick off with flair. Ten of the best football freestylers made it through single-day regional preliminaries to the country Finals held on the rooftop of a glittering Zagreb hotel „Antunovic“. Ninety minutes of battles under the floodlights provided some tough calls for the judges. Eventually both finalists Nedzad Brajdic & Nikola Aleksic earned the ticket to the World finals in Brazil. A German-born Nedzad represented the country where he grew up – Bosnia and Herzrgovina, and Nikola, the second placed ball-magician at our event, his native Croatia. Brajdic made it to the Battles phase in Sao Paulo, losing to the home favorite Murilo Pitol in the quarterfinals. Aleksic never made it past the qualification round, a lone victory was unsufficient to squeeze out of a tough group spearheaded by the very same Brazilan, but the Croatian was nevertheless happy to be a part of the great show.
