Red Bull Street Style started in Russia in 2008 consisting of 8 quailifiers in big cities - from Vladivostok to St.Petersburg - and national final.

The national final was held in Moscow in the middle of October. 16 best Russian freestylers gathered at the depth of 40 meters underground in the old military bunker in the center of Moscow. Top goalscorer of Russian Football Premier League Vagner Love was heading the jury. A 19-y.o. freestyler from St.Petersburg Alexey Kostenko won this tough final battle and represented Russia at the World Championship Final in Brazil in November 2008.
