Saudi Qualification for Red Bull Street Style World final reaches its last station in Jeddah
After completion of the Qualifying Rounds in the city of Riyadh, Dammam, Mecca and Medina, the fever of the local regional qualifiers of Red Bull Street Style world final will conclude in the city of Jeddah. The excitement and intensified preparations and exercises by the freestylers in the city of Jeddah in preparation for the Jeddah qualifiers in Virgin Mega store - Mall on Sunday, February 21st Center Roshana Mall on Sunday, in Sultan Mall on Monday, February 22nd and the Center for gold's Jim on Wednesday, February 24th in order to highlight their skills and win the title of the best freestylers in Saudi Arabia .Such title will qualify the winner to the finals of Red Bull Street Style in South Africa next April
By the end of Jeddah's qualifiers, the best 32 freestylers will be chosen in from all the preliminaries regional qualifiers conducted around Saudi Arabia to compete all together in the Saudi Qualifications final of Red Street Style to be held on Thursday April 25th in Jeddah at Red Sea Mall (8:30 pm). The judge Committee will be chaired by each of the famous Dutch player Edgar Davids, midfielder Ajax Amsterdam and former star of clubs AC Milan and Juventus, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur. the Saudi national team and Al Ittihad club player Nayef Al-Hazazi, will be also participate in the judge committee with Mr. Ahmed Al-Rosy, Director of the Youth Welfare Office in Mecca region on behalf of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare, besides the well-known Saudi sports critics Dr. Othman Abdu Hashim and Mr. Saleh Al-Amoudi.
The idea of Red Bull Free Street Style is based on two players in each round giving their best skills in "dancing the ball", for a period of 3 minutes on the round-shaped stage with a diameter of 7 meters . Each competitor, gets 20 seconds to show his skills with the ball before passing it to the opponent, who in turns, begins showing his art for another 20 seconds ,then returns the ball to the first opponent, and so on until the end of the three minutes. Among the enthusiasm, participants spontaneously dance with the ball. The judge committee assessment is based on three criteria: balance and ball control, high-style, and creative movements. Fixed rules should be taken such as non-use of the hands and keeping the player with the ball in the area of 7 meters in the field of the competition.
The top renowned names in football world likewise Brazil's Bebeto , Dutch's Edgar Davids, and Brazilian Falcao have participated in the judge Committee of Red Bull Street Style in 2008 and stood stunned for the outstanding and fine performance by the French "Arnaud Sean Garnier", who was crowned a champion in the World Final in Sao Paulo championship of Red Bull Free Street Style World Cup 2008
