OTHAR OF RED BULL: A NEW "LAWRENCE OF ARABIA" DEFEATING THE TALLEST FOUNTAIN IN THE WORLD!

Jeddah, 18 February 2010: 35-year-old Othar Lawrence, Red Bull Air Force Sky Diving base-jumper, succeeded in achieving a unique global record through a historic jump along King Fahad Fountain on the Red Sea Corniche, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

With a height of 260 meters, Jeddah Fountain is considered to be the tallest fountain in the world according to the Guinness World Records.

Commenting on this global achievement, President of the Asian and the Arab Federation of Air Sports paratrooper, Colonel Mubarak Bin Sweilem ِAl Sweilem said: "Saudi Aviation Club and the Arab Federation of Air Sports seriously sought tirelessly to develop the aviation sports in both Saudi Arabia and the Arab world."

Othar Lawrence, who is a member of the Red Bull Air Force team has commented on his achievement by saying: "I will never forget this day in my life! It is like a dream come true. I have planned for this for a long time, and here I am in Jeddah, defeating the tallest fountain in the world!"
