FREESTYLE FEVER: WHO WILL FLY THE GERMAN FLAG IN SOUTH AFRICA?

Can you make a football stick to your legs like glue? Is your favourite playmate filled with air? Do you have nerves of steel and the freshest style? If so, then you fulfil all the criteria to enter the elite circle of the world’s best freestyle footballers. Or, to put in another way: Red Bull Street Style kicks off for its second season in Germany on 1 October with the opening of the video application phase at www.redbullstreetstyle.com.

With ball control, precision and plenty of style you could be jetting off to the Red Bull Street Style 2010 World Finals in Cape Town, South Africa. Last time, in 2008, Dominik Kaiser flew the German flag at the World Finals in São Paulo (BRA) and fought his way into the Top 16.

Now it’s your turn! To follow in Dominik’s footsteps simply register at www.redbullstreetstyle.com and upload a video with your best freestyle football tricks between 1 and 31 October 2009. The online freestyle community will then have the chance until 15 November to cast votes on the videos submitted and decide whose skills are worth seeing live.

As one of the top 32 competitors you will be invited to the “Bootshaus” in Cologne (December 2009, exact date TBA), where two challenges await. In an initial pre-qualification round you will have the task of impressing the star-studded judging panel in head-to-head battles against the other finalists to grab a place in the Top 16. Then, at the grand final of Red Bull Street Style 2010 Germany, you will go up against the best in the country in an attempt to secure the golden ticket to compete against ballers from 50 countries at the World Finals in Cape Town.
