Qualification sets the stage for Freestyle Football World Championship

Qualification for the Red Bull Street Style World Final electrified Warsaw’s Hala Gwardii, where the walls are adorned with images of boxing legends from Poland’s deep sporting heritage. But instead of boxing gloves, the Red Bull Street Style favourites from over 50 nations went head-to-head with a football to earn a spot in the Finals on Thursday.

As the world’s pioneering and most prestigious freestyle football tournament, and with football stars like Roberto Carlos on the judging panel, it’s all or nothing for the athletes. The creativity and skills on display in the Qualification battles showed just how much the fast-growing sport has progressed in the last 10 years, since Red Bull Street Style first hit the scene.

Now, there’s less than 24 hours before the top 16 men’s players from the Qualification round face off in the Finals on Thursday night, including reigning Red Bull Street Style champion Charly Iacono against Jairo González from Mexico.

Women’s Qualifying action was equally as intense, with four players earning spots in Thursday’s clash, including the queen of freestyle, Mélody Donchet. The French superstar is looking for an unprecedented hat-trick of three consecutive Red Bull Street Style World Final wins... but that will not be easy at all!

Be there for all the action of the Red Bull Street Style World Final, kicking off at Warsaw’s historic Hala Gwardii venue at 19:00h CET on Thursday, 22 November 2018. Admission is free!

The event will also be streamed live at Red Bull TV from 20:00h CET.
