After some weeks of intense freestyle football action behind closed doors, Stage 1 of Red Bull Street Style 2020 has come to a close.
A phenomenal effort from athletes all around the world saw over 500 video entries submitted through the WFFA app. This included new faces from countries that before had not participated in the tournament such as Afghanistan, Madagascar, Bangladesh, Iraq, Sudan and more. Not to mention old faces too like the legend of the 2008 edition of the Tournament, Yosuke (Japan). It’s amazing to see the global reach that freestyle football is continuing to develop.
We were also blessed with submissions from 7 former Red Bull Street Style champions coming back with eyes on the prize once again. However only 200 males and 60 females can advance through to Stage 2 which will be starting soon.
Stay tuned for the Stage 1 results and info on the next round where the focus is heavily on ‘musicality’. Slowly but surely the challenge of each round will help to sift through the masses to crown the best freestyler the Red Bull Street Style 2020 champion!See results here: https://www.redbullstreetstyle.com/follow-the-action/results
